I have LAMP configuration on the web server.

The website I was trying to host had a directory named 'javascript'. Interestingly, the website domain was not able to access this directory and the website appeared broken because of the missing JavaScript files.

Apparently the javascript-common package was hosed at some point in time and the configure script wouldn't run properly.
